Lesson Learned

In my previous post…I seemed to have been pretty confident that Get ‘er Done was pretty much complete. That was the case, until I got someone else to test out the app and get their suggestions. I found that my program was lacking in a lot of areas. But those areas have been fixed.

Here are the changes:

  • Look and Feel – The boxes which represent the tasks have been changed and no longer have the pretty gradient. I made it so the default size of the box is only enough for the check box, the description, the project, a expand button and the delete button. When you click the expand button, it reveals the rest of the needed information such as due date, notes, etc.
  • Next Action/Waiting For – In the tree view I have a section called Views with Next Action and Waiting For. These now will be used to filter your tasks instead of for organization. Someday/Maybe(Yes I fixed the spelling) will still be used for organization.
  • An icon! Yes I created an icon so no more Visual Studio Project icons.

So I got a lot done today, and hoping to release the Get ‘er Done to the public sometime next week.
